For those taking a trip on the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Dawson City, you can simply launch from our location in downtown Whitehorse. If you do not wish to paddle the thirty- miles of Lake Laberge, which is part of the Yukon River trip, we can carry you, the canoes and camping gear to the north end of the lake with a boat transfer from the Deep Creek campground on the west shore of Lake Laberge. The road trip from Whitehorse to Deep Creek can also be included.
For most other river trips in the Yukon, road, air or boat transportation is necessary. The Teslin River requires a road trip to Johnsons Crossing on the Alaska Highway and a road trip on the South Canol road to Quiet Lake is required to paddle the Big Salmon River. Kanoe People has the vehicles and boats to do just that. We can provide transport to almost any place in the Yukon, Northern British Columbia and into parts of Alaska.
Our transportation costs depend on your destination, number of people and dates. There is often an opportunity to share the costs with others traveling in the same direction. An early reservation allows us to match people’s requirements in a timely manner. Our costs are adjusted annually. Please contact us for the current rates.
